One of Handel's lesser known Oratorios is the source for another one of Philip Clark's authentic, yet very approachable string orchestra arrangements of Baroque works that have been basically lost for years. With the full grandeur one would expect from Handel, all the parts have meat to them, with masterful counterpoint, sixteenth note scaler passages and trills in the first violins. Super teaching vehicle for style and technique and a perfect addition to an adjudication or concert program. A real touch of elegance!
