We Are

Commissioned by the Texas Choral Director's Association, this work for men's voices to a text by Michael Dennis Browne, expresses the fresh and vibrant sense of the journey of being a man in the modern world, and especially a young man in a beautiful and volatile world. Opening with a declamatory text over rhythmic motives in the piano, the work builds and unfolds in waves of sound to the final phrase, "we are all sons singing."
