Update: Earth

Reduce! Reuse! Recycle! A lot has changed since 1989 when the popular Assignment: Earth hit the stage! We now have cellphones (and what to do with old ones), the internet (for a wide range of information on the environment), and hybrid and alternative fueled vehicles. Are we keeping up with the times? What are we doing to make our world a better place to live? Update: Earth is a 30-minute musical review about our ongoing quest to better the world's environment. It features 7 original pop/rock songs with simple dialogue and characters, flexible enough to perform with one class or the entire student body. Kick-off the Fall with Update: Earth to set an environmental theme that will last throughout the year, or perform it in the Spring in conjunction with Arbor Day. The Teacher Edition comes complete with piano/vocal arrangements, script and John Jacobson's choreography and staging tips. Publications printed on recycled paper.
