Product Description

Toccata For Band Composed by Frank Erickson. For Concert Band. Published by Bourne Co.. (Catalog # 135463)

Toccata for Band has been very popular among high school and college bands since its publication in 1957.  Organized in rudimentary sonata form, the toccata is a wonderful teaching piece using two ideas that are initially expressed in the opening sections of the piece.  The first is a quick, rhythmic theme featuring the trumpets and clarinet, while the second is slow and lyrical, first stated by solo horn.
