Catalog #J1080

An all-inclusive jazz band technique building chart that is a companion to Jazz Builders Step 1. There is something in this chart for every player in the band. The saxes learn overtone exercises aimed at improving sound and intonation. The brass get a jazz theory workout. The drummer works on independence as well as set-ups and kicks. The bass player continues to learn to create walking bass lines from changes. And the piano and guitar players learn to create their own voicings from chord symbols. There is also an open section for blowing on F blues, with two beginning approaches to begin improvising over the blues. This chart is a must for the budding jazz ensemble!
