This is a wonderful chart arranged as a swing ballad. ArrangerRoy Phillipe has done a fine job with this chart for the younger player, with the opening melody stated by the alto saxophone followed by trumpet and then unison trombones. After the ad lib solos (written out) for alto and trumpet, a sax section soli goes right into an uplifting modulation that brings it all home. The perfect arrangement to teach the 12/8 feel, Teach Me Tonight will bring down the house.
