To keep its flowing and tranquil melodic content on track, the composer of this soothing piece wisely keeps a moving rhythmic part in at least one of the voices so that the groove can never be lost. The Sailing Kite of the title is kept steadily aloft all the while a rhythmic pulse is felt through the string in the hand of the flyer. Almost "new age" in its approach, it has an optional piano part that will add a very flavorful touch and while there is some shifting in firsts and cellos, the only real challenge will be lining up the syncopated rhythmic figures within the constant pulse and making it appear effortless. It'll be a real audience pleaser!
