Product Description

Rondo Concertante Composed by David O'Fallon. For String Orchestra. Published by Highland/Etling. (Catalog # 38487, UPC: 038081434650)

Do you have three strong section leaders that you would like to feature on your next concert? This could be the answer in one fine arrangement. It features solos for violin, viola and cello (or two violins and cello) in an animated and spirited showcase for the three players, instructing them to variously perform "Playfully," "Songful and expressive," "Gritty" and "With abandon." The harmonies are quite "modern" and there are several special effects, such as trills, false harmonics and guitar-like strums as well as meter changes and accidentals. The orchestral accompaniment has its own special effects, but everything is within the reach of a solid high school group.
