Rise of The Vulcan Composed by David Shaffer. For Concert Band. Published by Fjh Music Company, Inc.. (Catalog # B1281, UPC: 674398218448)

At times rhythmic and driving, at others legato and flowing, Rise of the Vulcan is always lyrical. Depicting the Greek myth of Vulcan as he created fire, this piece is beautiful yet intense. The use of strong rhythmic motives, loads of percussion, and trombone glissandos make this work as exciting for the listeners as for the performers. (4:07)
