Make your band more expressive with this lovely setting of a traditional Irish folk ballad. The melody is first introduced by a solo flute, then repeated in duet with the first alto sax. The settings of the melody work their way back and forth between the woodwinds and brass before a slight accellerando builds the intensity to the emotional climax. A gorgeous, lyrical folk piece suitable for either concert or contest programming.
