Piano Technique Bk 5 (Bk/Cd) Arranged by Kreader/Kern/Keveren. For Piano. Published by Hal Leonard Publishing Corp. (Catalog # 00296567, UPC: 073999491050)

Piano Technique Book 5 expands the skills emphasized in Piano Technique Book 4. Through engaging Warm–Ups and Etudes, students are encouraged to explore diatonic and chromatic scales, chords, inversions, and chord progressions. The exercises also focus on important, intermediate-level skills: finger substitutions, extended and contracted hand positions, grace notes, playing a waltz bass, and refinement of articulation and coordination. Each Warm–Up and Etude has its own original accompaniment. The exercises in this book are carefully correlated to the music in Piano Lessons Book 5. This package includes a book and an enhanced CD with practice and performance tempo tracks. The CD works in any CD player but it also contains MIDI files for Windows and Mac computer users.
