Orffestrations About American Heroes Arranged by Linda Forrest. For Teacher's Edition. Published by Heritage Music Press. (Catalog # 30/1795H, UPC: 000308066074)

Nine original songs about historical American Heroes comprise this very creative collection. In addition to the option of being performed as an entire concert or program, this work is terrific for interdisciplinary projects with the social studies or American history curriculums. A variety of styles are employed, with the music ranging from easy to moderate. The format includes not only the full score of each song, but also separate Orff and vocal parts which may be reproduced for classroom use. Helpful tips are also provided to aid in teaching the instrumental parts.
