On Wings of Eagles

Flight, whether by birds or in airplanes, has always captured the human imagination. A great opener, it starts in soaring fashion with call and response between upper winds and low brass, moving to a 3/4 section as if floating on the wings of a bird before returning to the introduction and first section. It presents a great opportunity to address 2-beat triplets and is scored very well for young groups. (3:40)
