On The Banks of Prairie River

Commissioned by Michael Chula, director of the Prairie River Middle School Eighth Grade band in Merrill, Wisconsin, it is reflective of the energy and joy displayed by the students of that band. The music was composed with the thought that these fine young performers required a piece that they could focus their energy into and that captured their unmistakable innate energy.
