OMEA, 2012, Class B: Nocturne #5 in B-Flat Major, play all: Normally in stock: Nocturne #5 in B-Flat Major, play all: John Field was born in Dublin on July 26, 1782. He is most remembered for having been the first to compose the Nocturne; his Nocturnes went on to inspire Chopin to compose Nocturnes in his turn. Field died in Moscow on January 23, 1837.
