Musetta's Waltz Composed by Giacomo Puccini. Arranged by Clark Mcalister. For String Orchestra. Published by Ludwig Masters Publications. (Catalog # M8053, UPC: 9781621566922)

Puccini, as an opera composer, was notably a master of melody.  This elegant waltz from La Boheme is a prime example of his forte.  Your violins will enjoy "singing" this gracious offering, and while the lower strings primarily serve as support, they occasionally have extremely important countermelodies and arpeggiated accompaniments, which will keep them from feeling subservient.  Everyone has plenty to do and the end result will be a thrill for players and listeners.
