March With Variations

From the beautiful second movement of Beethoven Seventh Symphony, here is a set of variations on the memorable theme that begins and ends in A minor with an A major middle section. The brass don't have a lot to do, but the strings and woodwinds will be well occupied - including the optional preparatory string players that can be added for a marvelous experience. Winds and brass are split into two parts except the oboes.
