Based upon the real social issues facing children, this musical is all about instilling kindness and consideration in relationships. Laced together by a group of rhyming rappers, each of the eight songs presents a positive message in a contemporary way. For example, the rock tune, New Kids in Town, and thetender ballad, Nobody Plays with Johnny, talk about acceptance; the rollicking 1950 s style Send a Card teaches courtesy; the gentle ballad, Feelings Are Just Feelings, deals with self-esteem; and the rap, The Sometimes Letter, is about teamwork and caring.
