Light The Candles

A unique option for a December holiday concert, in the style and harmonic structure of a Chanukah song, but with an original melody whose syncopated rhythm fits the title, which refers to lighting the Menorah. Easily playable by middle school groups, the syncopation is repeated often so it will readily fall into place. The cellos have one small shift to catch an E above the staff and all your students will have to watch the Bb and C# accidentals, but otherwise it will bubble right along!
