It is half time and the Gophers trail the Badgers by 20 points for the basketball championship. As they enter the locker room, the Gophers are exhausted and ready to give up. Coach Brown is desperate and makes a number ofunsuccessful attempts to rally the basketball team. Through the use of sports cards featuring some of the greatest sports figures in history, legends come to life and their inspiring stories serve to energizethe Gophers into a last-minute victory. The seven songs include important messages about sportsmanship, following dreams, not giving up, and as the final song says, trying to be the best that you can be. Sports legends featured include Wilma Rudolf, Arthur Ashe, Vince Lombardi, Jackie Robinson, and others who faced great obstacles to acquire their dreams.
