King William's March Composed by Jeremiah Clarke. Arranged by Bob Phillips. For Full Orchestra. Published by Belwin Mills Publishing Corp. (Catalog # 40421, UPC: 038081451138)

If you are putting your strings and winds together for the first time, or if you have a middle school full orchestra, you know how hard it is to find decent literature at an easy level.  Who else but Bob Phillips to the rescue!  Here is a very, very easy, yet great sounding arrangement of a Jeremiah Clark (composer of the famous Trumpet Voluntary) march that is perfect as a processional or adjudication opener. In Concert G, changing to Concert D, it uses mostly short eighth note melodic scale patterns, providing perfect practice for young players in a very harmonic setting.  Includes Alto Saxophone parts, which basically double the F Horn parts, which basically double the Viola part, and there is lots of supportive instrumentation throughout.  Your full orchestra will sound very big, full and mature on this Baroque masterpiece.  On the Ohio High School Class C and Middle School Class B Adjudication list.
