Joy To The World Composed by African American Spi. Arranged by J Wayne Kerr. For Organ Folio. Published by Morning Star Music Publishers. (Catalog # MSM10-172, UPC: 688670101724)

Includes delightful settings of the tunes Antioch, Mendelssohn, and Go Tell It. "Joy to the World" opens with a 3/4 toccata and the melody in the pedal in augmentation. A contrasting soft section then returns to the energetic opening. "Hark the Herald Angels" is in trio format, with the cantus firmus in the left hand against right hand sixteenth notes and quarter notes in the pedal. "Go Tell It on the Mountain" is in a syncopated style where even the melody is treated to some jazzy ornamentation.
