Full Moon Composed by Joseph Eidson. For Concert Band. Published by Wingert-Jones Music Publications. (Catalog # 3015831, UPC: 822424026707)

Full Moon sets a dark and mysterious mood where vampires, werewolves and other unknown figures lurk in the shadows. Emphasizing smooth and lyrical playing, this piece also helps instruct young players how to shape phrases and listen for balance within the overall texture. First heard in the low winds, the melody eventually appears in every section of the band, building to a spine-tingling climax. A spooky reminder to beware the light of the full moon, as you never know what might be waiting in the shadows.
