Foundation Studies For The Violin Bk 2 Composed by Franz Wohlfahrt. Arranged by Aiqouni/Pine. Performed by Rachel Barton Pine. For Violin. Published by Carl Fischer, Llc. (Catalog # O2466X, UPC: 798408090579)

Violin superstar and pedagogue Rachel Barton Pine has taken the 42 studies from Opp. 45 and 74 of Franz Wohlfahrt that were selected and arranged in progressive order by K. H. Aiqouni in 1929 for Carl Fischer and added her expert touches to the etudes emphasizing dynamics, bow distribution, dotted slurs, bowing variations, second and third positions, note reading and sight reading skills. Ms. Pine even includes a DVD of herself performing each study , recommending that the student not watch it until they have already begun to practice the etude themselves. This book updates and replaces the Wohlfahrt Foundation Studies Book 2 that has been a best-seller for years.
