Catalog #43155

As recorded by the University of North Texas One O'Clock Lab Band on their Lab 2000 CD, this beautiful ballad features lush voicings, a haunting melody, and solo space for trumpet (flugelhorn) and tenor sax. Graded at the medium-advanced level, Slater's scoring calls for five trumpets doubling on flugelhorn, five trombones, and optional flute doubles on both alto sax parts. While brass ranges are rather conservative (Eb trumpet, Bb trombone), some surprising key changes in teh latter part of the chart will keep listeners tuned in till the end. Sound clip at kendor.com
