This collection contains duets, trios and quartets that were written by the Am erican composers Alexander Reinagle and Francis Johnson, as well as some works that remain anonymous. Arranged by Anne McClenny Krauss and Maurice Hinson, these dances and marches were some of the most popular from the period followi ng the Revolutionary War. Duets and trios are to be played on one piano and q uartets on two. Dynamics and articulation have been added to clarify the musi cal ideas.
