Courtly Dance From The Danserye

Make the Renaissance come alive with this courtly dance by Susato. Composed in 1551 for his book of dances called "The Danserye," it epitomizes the harmonies, rhythms and styles of that exciting time. On the easy side of Grade 2, this arrangement is very playable for developing groups. A history lesson as well, it is a "basse" dance where partners move quietly and gracefully in a slow, gliding motion with their feet staying in contact with the floor - but with a rhythmic vitality.
