Product Description

Chicken Foot Transplant Composed by Matt Turner. For String Orchestra. Published by Carl Fischer, Llc. (Catalog # YAS116, UPC: 798408091378)

Your string orchestra becomes a Blues/Funk/Fiddle band with this high energy "alternative" offering with a Bo Didley groove - think "Down on the Corner" by Creedence Clearwater Revival. A great opportunity to teach pop music special effects like scoops, strums, fall offs, glissandi and wood taps with plenty of syncopation for everyone. It can open up for an improvisational solo using a G minor pentatonic scale or a G mixolydian mode, but there is a written out solo that will work too. There hasn't been anything with this rhythmic feel for string orchestra before, so it's a real treat.
