** Stanton's Staff Selection - 2005 **
As the title implies, Chant and Ceremony contains two contrasting sections. Both are in 3/4 with quarter and eighth note rhythms; however, the first section is legato and slurred, and the second is driving (quarter note = 144) with accented syncopation and call and response melodies. Perfect for your second year players, or combine them with the junior high for a powerful and intense performance. (3:05)
