Composed in 1887, Dvorak's Romantic Pieces for Violin and Piano were intended as delicate "parlor pieces" and this string orchestra adaptation provides an opportunity for your students to work on expressive playing and bow control development. Cellos have a little bit of shifting, but all other parts can be played in first position, giving ample room for concentration on the right hand. The piano part is essential and should be kept clean and crisp.
