Bug's Ballroom

A three movment dance suite - Grasshopper's Gavotte, Waterskipper Waltz and Cockroach's Cakewalk - not only adds a fun concert piece to your beginners' repertoire, it also contains all kinds of teaching opportunities. An optional glissando in the first violins (or soloist) will set the stage for shifting to third position later on. Second violins and violas get to extend their third finger for C# on the G string and everyone gets some syncopation and bow lifts as well as practice in dynamic contrast.
