Bring Us Peace (Da Pacem Domine)

This lovely, late Renaissance/early Baroque work is complemented by a new, contemporary English text for more general use by both schools and churches and also a soaring descant which adds to the emotional impact. The English text, a powerful call for peace, is not intended to be a literal translation of the original Latin (which is also included as a performance option). Whether performed accompanied or a cappella, this piece provides a marvelous masterwork experience for young and developing choirs.
