Angels In The Bleak Midwinter Arranged by Larry Clark. For String Orchestra. Published by Carl Fischer, Llc. (Catalog # YAS106, UPC: 798408089177)

In the tradition of his Pacem Noel (YAS86) and Simple Gifts of Christmas (BAS27) from years past, Larry Clark has done a wonderful mash-up of two Christmas pieces, Angels We Have Heard on High and Holst's In the Bleak Midwinter. With tasteful re-harmonization, a short violin solo and some scaler sixteenth note pickups at a slow tempo, there is enough here to keep a middle school group busy. You can also do a combined concert with band and choir on the same piece.
