It's not often that students get to play Debussy, so we are always on the lookout for good student arrangements of the Impressionist master's music.  Bob Lipton scored this time, with a well-known tune that will not only be a treat for the audience, but will build student sensitivity, reinforce counting skills in 9/8 time, including duplets over triplets, and provide practice in chromaticism.  While the tempo is slow, the parts are fairly rhythmically active, with the basses providing the anchor for the upper parts.  Challenging but worth the effort.
